About New Haven

Positioned on the northern shore of Long Island Sound, New Haven is best known as the home of Yale University. The Ivy League school's campus features many galleries and museums tucked inside gorgeous Collegiate Gothic buildings, and the architecture is a spectacular attraction in its own right. The town's own long history is reflected in the abundance of historical buildings that fill the downtown area, circling the lush New Haven Green. The large Italian-American population has contributed to its reputation for excellent food where the thin crust pizzas at Frank Pepe's Pizzeria and Sally's Apizza on Wooster Street are long-standing favorites.
